Liverpool to 'get a deal done' with Alexis Mac Allister

Scout Bryan King expects Liverpool to offer Mac Allister a new contract extension after his strong performances this season.

Alexis Mac Allister's current Liverpool deal runs until 2028, but the club has reportedly shown no immediate plans to offer him fresh terms. The 27-year-old Argentine midfielder publicly expressed disappointment in September after teammates Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch received new contracts.

However, experienced scout Bryan King told Football Insider that Liverpool will "get a deal done" with Mac Allister. King suggested a two-year extension or even a one-year deal with an option would be appropriate given Mac Allister's consistent performances—he has played every game this season and scored four goals in 12 appearances across all competitions.

Manager Andoni Iraola has also praised Mac Allister's form and intelligence on the pitch since his arrival. Without a contract renewal, Liverpool would face pressure to sell the midfielder next summer to recoup value from the £55 million they paid Brighton in 2023, but King and Iraola both appear confident the club will move to secure his future.
