Jack Grealish omitted from Everton squad amid 'discipline breach' as statement released

Grealish omitted from Everton's Carabao Cup squad against Newcastle due to a breach of club discipline; the exact nature of the infraction was not disclosed.

Jack Grealish was left out of Everton's Carabao Cup last-16 clash with Newcastle on Thursday following a disciplinary breach. Manager David Moyes excluded the England international entirely, with Tyler Dibling and Tyrique George preferred in wide positions. Everton confirmed via social media that Grealish was unavailable due to the breach of club discipline, though the specific details were not revealed. The winger, on his second consecutive loan from Manchester City, had contributed eight goals and assists in his first spell at Everton last season before a stress fracture cut it short. He returned to Merseyside after limited appearances under new City boss Enzo Maresca, with recent signings Allan and Iliman Ndiaye restricting his opportunities at the Etihad.
