New Inter and Milan stadium to be called Generali Stadium

The new stadium replacing San Siro will be called Generali Stadium after the Italian insurer secured naming rights; it opens in 2031–32 with 71,500 capacity.

Inter and Milan's new stadium, which will replace the iconic San Siro, has been officially named Generali Stadium following the Italian insurance company's acquisition of the naming rights. The announcement was made Thursday at a press conference at Milan's Sforzesco Castle.

The new ground will be built adjacent to the current San Siro and designed with a raised bowl structure and hexagonal exterior, holding approximately 71,500 spectators. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027 and conclude in 2031, with the stadium operational in time for Euro 2032, which Italy and Turkey will host. The project represents a €1.2 billion private investment in urban regeneration, with plans to repurpose parts of the existing complex.
