Callum McGregor comments dissected after meeting my Celtic 'chaos ball' claim head on - this will be O'Neill's response

McGregor's measured criticism of Celtic's 'chaos ball' tactics signals internal concerns about the team's playing style and control.

Celtic captain Callum McGregor has sparked debate among supporters after his post-match comments following the Dundee United game, where he critiqued the team's 'chaos ball' approach. Speaking with authority and insight, McGregor highlighted concerns about Celtic playing like a basketball team, the risks of deploying players out of position, and a lack of control in their play. His measured tone—not emotional or mutinous—suggested recognition of genuine problems that need addressing.

The comments have led some fans to speculate about tensions behind the scenes, though this was not presented as the captain undermining manager Neil O'Neill. McGregor is a key part of Celtic's leadership structure and spoke with the measured tone of someone invested in the club's direction. O'Neill will face questions about how he responds to his captain's concerns when he meets the media ahead of the Falkirk fixture.
