Chelsea have spent close to £2billion since the 2022 takeover, but not all signings have paid off. While Cole Palmer, Moises Caicedo and Joao Felix have been standouts, the club has had numerous misses.

talkSPORT has ranked the worst BlueCo arrivals, with Wesley Fofana high on the list. The centre-back's struggles were epitomised in Wednesday's Carabao Cup tie at Anfield, where he gave away a penalty in normal time before missing the decisive spot-kick in the shootout as Chelsea lost 6-5.

Other notable failures include goalkeeper Jesper Jorgensen, signed from Villarreal in 2024, who has made just 11 Premier League appearances and is now on loan at Strasbourg; Joao Felix, who returned on a permanent deal in 2024 but made only three league starts before joining AC Milan on loan; and Mykhailo Mudryk, who has struggled to find consistency since arriving from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023.
