Ajax have Berghuis back after Blind's return

Berghuis cleared to return after six-game absence due to injury; Blind already back in action.

Ajax have received a double fitness boost ahead of Saturday's home match against AZ. Daley Blind made his return as a substitute in last Sunday's away win at Sparta Rotterdam after more than two months sidelined with a back injury. The 36-year-old defender has now played five matches since his comeback.

Steven Berghuis is also available again after missing the last six games through injury. The 34-year-old left-footer, who will face his former club AZ, is expected to feature as a substitute rather than start, having been a regular starter before his injury.

Ajax are on a three-match winning streak and sit second in the table following recent victories over FC Groningen and Sparta, plus dropped points from rivals.
