Iker Casillas praised Aston Villa goalkeeper Zion Suzuki as a future world-class talent with the potential to replace Real Madrid's Courtois.

Iker Casillas, the legendary Real Madrid and Spain goalkeeper, has publicly endorsed Aston Villa's summer signing Zion Suzuki, calling him the only young goalkeeper he sees capable of eventually replacing Thibaut Courtois at Real Madrid.

Speaking on his podcast Bajo Palos, Casillas highlighted Suzuki's decision-making as the hallmark of a special goalkeeper, not just his shot-stopping ability. Suzuki joined Aston Villa from Parma to replace Emiliano Martinez and has impressed since his arrival, earning widespread praise for his performances in the Premier League.

Casillas suggested Suzuki could be a candidate for Real Madrid when Courtois departs, potentially in 2028 when the Belgian's contract expires. At that point, Suzuki would be 26 with two years of Premier League experience and possibly Champions League football. His current valuation stands at €30m, though Aston Villa are unlikely to sell cheaply and may use Casillas' endorsement to increase his market value.
