Real Madrid squad announced for Racing Santander clash

Valverde misses out with a muscle injury from the Barcelona clash; Vinicius suspended and Mendy, Asencio, Rodrygo also absent.

Real Madrid returns to Racing Santander's El Sardinero stadium for the first time in 15 years, with José Mourinho in charge. The squad list shows several notable absences: midfielder Fede Valverde has not recovered from a muscle injury sustained against Barcelona at Camp Nou, while winger Vinicius Junior is serving the third of four suspension matches. Defenders Ferland Mendy and Asencio, plus forward Rodrygo, are also unavailable through injury.

Thibaut Courtois returns to the squad after missing the previous Clásico with flu and will captain the side in the absence of Valverde and Vinicius. Arda Güler has been included after overcoming minor issues that kept him out of recent training sessions.
