Koke returns to the squad

Atlético captain Koke returns to full training 19 days after leaving the squad following his mother's death, and is available for Tuesday's Champions League match against Bayern Munich.

Koke has returned to training with Atlético Madrid's main group for the first time since October 13, when he left the squad following the death of his mother. The captain had been sidelined by a muscle injury in addition to his personal loss, training separately in the gym over recent days.

With Atlético preparing for Tuesday's Champions League fixture against Bayern Munich at the Metropolitano, Koke is now available for selection. Midfielder Jhonny Cardoso, who has been out since October 20 with a low-grade thigh injury, is also training at good intensity and could be in contention. However, Atlético will be without Hjulmand, who serves a one-match suspension after his red card against Stuttgart.
