Sources: Crystal Palace hold preliminary talks with Thomas Frank

Crystal Palace have opened preliminary talks with Thomas Frank as they consider replacing Pierre Sage, who has won just two Premier League games since arriving in the summer.

Crystal Palace are assessing managerial options after a difficult start for Pierre Sage at Selhurst Park. The Frenchman, who replaced Oliver Glasner in the summer, has overseen just two Premier League wins and one victory in his last four outings. A 5-0 defeat to Brighton in mid-October has intensified pressure on his position.

Sources have told Football Insider that Palace have held preliminary talks with Thomas Frank, the former Brentford manager, as a potential replacement. Frank is known for his work establishing Brentford as a Premier League side, though his spell at Tottenham did not succeed. Sean Dyche has also been linked but is deemed unlikely at this stage.

Sage remains in post ahead of upcoming fixtures against Hoffenheim in the Europa League and Liverpool in the Premier League. The Liverpool match may prove decisive for his future, with a change potentially coming during the international break if results do not improve.
