Why Kasper Schmeichel is bang out of order for what he said about Man United fans

Kasper Schmeichel criticised Manchester United fans for protesting during their Champions League win over Roma, urging them to back the team instead.

Kasper Schmeichel has criticised Manchester United supporters for protesting during Tuesday's Champions League match against Roma at Old Trafford. The fans threw objects onto the pitch in protest of the club's ownership and years of boardroom failings, after Roma went 2-0 up early on. United came back to win 2-0 with goals from Bruno Fernandes and Matheus Cunha.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Schmeichel acknowledged fans' right to protest but urged them to focus on creating a positive atmosphere instead. "For the players, it just doesn't help," he said, calling on supporters to back the team in the second half rather than turn negative when things go wrong.

The article argues Schmeichel's comments are out of touch, noting that United fans have legitimate grievances after years of managerial failures and poor performances, and have every right to voice their frustrations.
