Fàbregas: "Great night, but we must keep our feet on the ground"

Como thrashed Lens 9-1 in the Champions League, but manager Fàbregas urged his team to stay grounded and keep working hard.

Como produced a historic Champions League performance, demolishing Lens 9-1 on Wednesday night. Manager Cesc Fàbregas praised the display as a "great night" where everything went right, but warned against complacency.

"We must keep our feet on the ground, be humble and keep working," Fàbregas told Sky Sports Italia after the match. "We shouldn't believe we're stars or think everything is done. We need to learn to say: 'It was a good day, let's move forward and try to keep delivering good performances.'" The result made Como only the second team in Champions League history to score nine goals in a single match.

Fàbregas emphasized the importance of collecting maximum points early in the campaign and called for focus ahead of Sunday's next fixture, before the international break in mid-November.
