Lewis Ferguson reveals Bologna transfer exit timeline and names outcome he is certain will happen

Ferguson says Bologna is his home and he wants to stay at least another year, but hints he will join Rangers one day when his contract expires in 2028.

Lewis Ferguson has opened up on his future at Bologna, revealing he turned down offers to stay at the Serie A club because it has become his home. The Scotland midfielder, 27, said he wants to remain at the Renato Dall'Ara Stadium for at least another year and praised the club for supporting him through tough times including his injury recovery.

Ferguson also reiterated his long-standing desire to join Rangers one day, saying "sooner or later I'll go there - one day I know it'll happen." However, he stressed his current focus is entirely on Bologna, where he has been a standout performer this season, playing more minutes than any other midfielder in Serie A. He has captained Bologna on dozens of occasions and credited Scotland captain Andy Robertson with helping him understand the responsibilities of leadership.
