Why Míchel has no doubt Ouazane can play on the right for Ajax

former Ajax manager Míchel Sánchez has opted to field Abellah Ouazane as right winger against FC Midtjylland, a shift from recent weeks when the club experimented with Davy Klaassen on the flank. Oscar Gloukh starts on the left and Tolu Arokodare leads the attack in a three-forward setup.

Míchel confirmed he has worked specifically with Ouazane on the right-wing role during training this week. "He is good in one-on-one situations and can cut inside with his left foot," the Ajax manager said. "His versatility means he can play there, and he has the chance to show it today." Ouazane, a recent Morocco international, has impressed on the left but Míchel believes his all-round abilities suit the right flank.

The lineup also features Youri Baas as number 6 in place of the absent Sofyan Amrabat and Yves Bissouma. Míchel emphasized Ajax's desire to dominate possession and control the game, with Baas's ball-playing skills key to that approach.
