Jobe Bellingham handed surprise England call-up along with uncapped Premier League star as Cole Palmer left out

Jobe Bellingham earns first senior call-up for England's Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain; Cole Palmer omitted.

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jobe Bellingham has been handed his first senior England call-up by Thomas Tuchel for the upcoming Nations League fixtures. The 19-year-old, brother of Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham, joins uncapped Fulham forward Josh King in the squad. Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has been left out of the selection.

England face Croatia at Wembley on November 12 before travelling to world champions Spain on November 15. The Three Lions sit six points clear of third-place Croatia with a superior goal difference and are all-but certain to qualify for the knockout stages. England have won three of their four matches so far, sitting three points behind Spain who have a perfect record. Group winners and runners-up will progress to the quarter-finals in March, with the Nations League finals to follow in June.
