Arrasate: "We need our best version at El Sadar"

Osasuna manager Arrasate says his side must produce their best performance at home against Athletic Club on Saturday after two consecutive away defeats.

Osasuna manager Jagoba Arrasate held a pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's home fixture against Athletic Club, emphasizing the need for his team to deliver their best display at El Sadar. The manager noted that the team has suffered two consecutive away defeats and must reverse that trend, with two upcoming home matches offering an opportunity to climb the table from their current 15th-place position.

Arrasate highlighted Athletic's recent improvement, particularly in their ball-playing approach, which has become more vertical in recent weeks. He warned his players to be cautious defensively, as Athletic possess players capable of carrying the ball and creating depth. The Osasuna boss also stressed the physical demands of facing Athletic, describing them as "the team that probably demands the most in terms of high intensity and sprints."

The manager also addressed the recent 2-1 defeat to Deportivo, describing it as a significant blow after his team had been winning with 30 minutes remaining. He emphasized the importance of mental resilience when conceding goals, noting that poor performances have followed goals against both Sevilla and Deportivo.
