Terzic turns to De Marcos to decode Osasuna

Athletic manager Terzic prepares for Osasuna clash after six consecutive wins, consulting defender De Marcos for tactical insight.

Athletic Bilbao head into their match against Osasuna in Pamplona on the back of consecutive victories over Getafe and Real Sociedad, extending their unbeaten run. Manager Xabi Alonso Terzic has praised the team's upward trajectory, particularly highlighting their strong opening 30 minutes in the recent Basque derby and their overall performances against Vigo, Atlético Madrid, and Valencia.

Terzic emphasised the importance of consistency, stating: "If there's a bad moment we must continue being the team we want to be. The good thing is we've shown we're prepared to play this type of football and what we want now is to play like this in every match." He has sought additional preparation this week by consulting defender Óscar de Marcos, who has extensive experience against Osasuna, to help decode the opposition's tactical approach.

Osasuna, now managed by Jagoba Arrasate following Ramis's departure, have recorded three points from nine since the managerial change. Terzic expects an emotionally charged encounter and notes that recent meetings between the sides have been low-scoring affairs. Athletic will be without attacking options Guruzeta and Maroan through injury, forcing Terzic to explore alternatives, with Robert Navarro having impressed in recent appearances.
