Why Bellingham's England call-up could become a trump card for Dortmund

Jobe Bellingham's England call-up is rare recognition of Bundesliga quality and could boost Borussia Dortmund's profile.

Jobe Bellingham has become the first Borussia Dortmund player to receive an England call-up, a notable achievement given the perception in England that the Bundesliga lacks the quality and intensity of the Premier League. The selection is unusual and highlights how the German top flight is often underestimated across the Channel. For Dortmund, the call-up could serve as a valuable asset in future recruitment and negotiations, demonstrating that the club can develop players to international standard despite playing outside England's top division.
