Sources: Leeds United well placed for Igor Paixao as 'deal could now be done'

Leeds United are well-positioned to sign Marseille winger Igor Paixao if the French club is forced to sell due to financial pressures.

Leeds United have been alerted to a potential opportunity to sign Marseille winger Igor Paixao, 26, after sources indicated the Ligue 1 club may need to sell key players due to financial concerns. Paixao has been a long-term target for Leeds, with previous attempts to sign him in summer 2024 and 2025 unsuccessful. The winger has hinted at a potential departure in 2027 and has struggled early this season with no goals or assists. Leeds are positioned to capitalize if Marseille decides to offload him.
