Oliver Glasner: Nottingham, former Forest boss told how long he has got to transform fortunes

Glasner has until the end of the year to improve results or risk the sack, according to a former scout, with Forest winning just one of nine games.

Oliver Glasner faces mounting pressure at Nottingham Forest after a poor start to the season. The Austrian manager, appointed in July on a three-year deal, has won just one of his opening nine games and lost three of his last four Premier League matches.

Former Everton, Tottenham and Aston Villa scout Bryan King told Football Insider that Glasner must turn things around before the end of the year to keep his job. Owner Evangelos Marinakis has a history of sacking managers quickly—he dismissed Nuno Espirito Santo, Ange Postecoglou, Sean Dyche and Vitor Pereira all last season.

With challenging fixtures against Brentford, Manchester City, Bournemouth and Chelsea coming up, Glasner's position could become untenable. However, his significant salary may protect him from immediate dismissal. Glasner previously enjoyed success at Crystal Palace and has acknowledged the need for patience while integrating new players and staff, but emphasized that pitch performance remains the priority.
