Nottingham, former Forest manager Glasner issues stark warning: 'Otherwise the sixth manager will come'

Glasner warned of sweeping changes at Nottingham Forest after a fifth consecutive game without a win left them second-bottom in the Premier League with just six points.

Nottingham Forest remain in the relegation zone after losing to Brentford, sitting second-bottom in the Premier League with six points from nine games. Their only victory this season came on 12 September at Aston Villa.

Manager Oliver Glasner addressed the media after the defeat with stark warnings. "We must accept that it is not good enough. For me it is clear that things must change, and I will certainly do that," he said. Glasner acknowledged his own role in the struggles, admitting he had made too many compromises since arriving. "From day one I saw things that should be different, but I made too many compromises."

The Austrian manager issued an ultimatum to his players: "I will tell the players what we want and what we must do. If the players accept that, we can turn this situation around. If not, then the sixth manager will come." That reference points to Nottingham's managerial instability under Greek owner Evangelos Marinakis—Glasner is already the fifth manager since summer 2025, following Nuno Espírito Santo, Ange Postecoglou, Sean Dyche, and Vítor Pereira. Glasner insisted he takes full responsibility and will implement changes across all levels of the club, with no further compromises.
