Julián Alvarez is close to his best level

Atlético Madrid's football director Mateu Alemany says Julián Alvarez is close to returning to his best form after recent strong performances.

Mateu Alemany, Atlético Madrid's director of professional football, expressed confidence in Julián Alvarez's trajectory, saying the striker is nearing his peak performance level. Alemany noted that he correctly predicted Alvarez would score against Stuttgart and Deportivo, and attributed his accuracy to observing the player daily in training and team settings. "When he's at his level, he's a player who makes a difference, and we need him to be able to stay at the top," Alemany said in comments to Movistar ahead of Atlético's match against Levante. He also praised manager Diego Simeone's ability to keep the team focused on the immediate challenge rather than external distractions.
