Castro: "Result emotions make you see matches differently"

Castro praised Levante's performance despite losing to Atlético Madrid, saying his team created more chances and an error decided the match.

Levante manager Luís Castro defended his team's display after Saturday's defeat to Atlético Madrid at Ciutat de València, insisting the result masked a strong performance. "They are one of the best teams in the league, but we finished with more shots, more goal-scoring chances, with the first actions in their area being ours," Castro said. "Atlético hurt us with Olasagasti's error, which anyone could make, so I don't want to stay only with the result. The emotions of the result make you see matches differently."

Castro highlighted Levante's pressing and early opportunities, noting that Atlético converted their chances while Levante had two goals disallowed. He stressed the importance of maintaining the team's identity and character going forward. The manager also praised 15-year-old Marc Santos, who made his debut for Levante's first team, calling him intelligent and capable of playing multiple positions at the required level.
