Baena: "We're in a great moment, we have to keep going while it lasts"

Baena provided both assists in Atlético's win over Levante, praising the team's positive momentum ahead of Tuesday's Champions League fixture.

Álex Baena was among Atlético Madrid's standout performers in their victory over Levante at the Ciudad de Valencia stadium, setting up both goals in the win.

After the match, the Spanish international reflected on the performance and the team's current form. "We're happy to be up there but we're already thinking about Tuesday's Champions League match," Baena said. "Today we did our job but now we need to focus on Europe."

Regarding the second goal's build-up, Baena explained it was a move the team had worked on during the week. "It's a play we trained during the week, we knew it could happen and it came off perfectly. I know my teammates, I know Giuliano runs everything and he scored a great goal with excellent finishing," he said.

While sticking to a match-by-match approach, Baena acknowledged Atlético's title credentials. "We're in a very positive dynamic, getting more comfortable each day, finding our rhythm better, with teammates returning from injury or having had little rest after the World Cup. We're in good form and we have to keep going while it lasts," he concluded.
