Baleba, Rashford, Sesko - Man United injury news and return dates after Roma win

Baleba suffered a hamstring injury in the second half of United's 3-2 Champions League win over Roma; Carrick said initial signs don't look good but timelines remain unclear.

Manchester United came from 2-0 down to beat Roma 3-2 in the Champions League at Old Trafford on Tuesday, with Matheus Cunha scoring a late double to secure the win. However, the victory was marred by an injury to midfielder Carlos Baleba, who pulled his hamstring early in the second half and limped off the pitch visibly distressed.

Manager Michael Carrick provided a cautious update after the match, saying: "I haven't got any more news on Carlos at this stage, but obviously it looks... it's his hamstring, so we'll just have to assess what that looks like. Initially, it doesn't look great. Timelines, I haven't got much more to give you."

United also have other injury concerns. Luke Shaw is ruled out this week with a potential return date of November 22 against Liverpool, while Marcus Rashford continues his recovery on a day-by-day basis with an expected return around November 8 against Aston Villa. Defender Diogo Dorgu returned to training after a thigh injury but won't feature immediately, and Ben Chilwell faces an extended absence. Manuel Ugarte remains sidelined with a serious knee injury from the World Cup.
