Manchester United injury update: Carlos Baleba, Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw latest news and return dates

Baleba suffered a hamstring injury against Roma; Rashford (hip) targeting return this weekend; Shaw sidelined until late November.

Manchester United's injury woes deepened in their 3-2 Champions League victory over Roma on Tuesday. Summer signing Carlos Baleba pulled up with a hamstring problem early in the second half and was forced off immediately. Manager Michael Carrick said the initial prognosis "doesn't look great" but confirmed he had no timeline yet.

Marcus Rashford continues his recovery from a hip issue that has kept him out of recent matches. Carrick indicated the England forward is closing in on a comeback and could return this weekend against Aston Villa. Left-back Luke Shaw remains sidelined with a muscular problem from the Tottenham draw and is expected back around late November.

Ben Sesko is ruled out until the new year with ongoing shin issues, while Manuel Ugarte faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a torn ACL sustained at the World Cup.
