Manchester United issue injury update on Carlos Baleba with new timeline given

Baleba suffered a hamstring injury against Roma and will miss several weeks, ruling him out of matches against Aston Villa, Liverpool and Sporting.

Carlos Baleba was forced off in Manchester United's win over Roma after picking up a hamstring injury just after half-time. Manager Michael Carrick confirmed the 22-year-old midfielder will miss several weeks and won't return before or during the international break, sidelining him for Premier League fixtures against Aston Villa and Liverpool as well as the Champions League trip to Sporting CP in Lisbon.

Baleba had only recently returned to action after missing the start of the season with an ankle injury sustained during pre-season following his £70 million transfer from Brighton. This is now his second significant injury setback since joining United.
