Bosz explains Champions League defeat: 'Didn't finish chances and couldn't contain Forbs'

PSV lost 1-2 at home to Club Brugge; Bosz blamed missed chances and poor control of Forbs, whose pace exploited the left flank in counterattacks.

PSV suffered a 1-2 home defeat to Club Brugge in the Champions League, with manager Peter Bosz identifying two key factors in the loss: the team's failure to convert chances and their inability to contain Club Brugge's right winger Carlos Forbs.

Forbs proved decisive in the counterattack, repeatedly getting the better of PSV left-back Filip Kostic and scoring the winning goal from a break. Bosz acknowledged he could have deployed Mauro Júnior or Sergiño Dest at left-back to counter the threat but opted against it to maintain balance elsewhere on the pitch.

Midfielder Sven Mijnans echoed the assessment, noting PSV created plenty of clear-cut opportunities but were undone by defensive lapses. A loose pass from Mijnans himself led directly to Club Brugge's second goal. "Champions League matches are decided on details," Mijnans said, highlighting how two quick passes left PSV's defence exposed.
