LaLiga confirms weekend fixtures will proceed with tributes to Jesús de Miguel in all stadiums

Spanish football will proceed this weekend with tributes to Tenerife player Jesús de Miguel, who died after a collision with Andorra's goalkeeper on Monday.

Spanish football's governing bodies confirmed Thursday that matches across La Liga, Segunda División and Liga F will go ahead this weekend, 6–9 November, with coordinated tributes to CD Tenerife player Jesús de Miguel, who died Tuesday following a collision with Andorra goalkeeper Jesús Owono during Monday's match.

All stadiums will hold unified memorials under the motto "Always in our memory". Starting lineups from both teams will take the pitch mixed together wearing special shirts with the number 9. Players and referees will form a semicircle around the spot where the incident occurred, lay flowers, observe a minute's silence, and applaud. At the ninth minute of each match, play will pause for a tribute video on stadium screens.

CD Tenerife will not play this weekend; instead they will hold a solemn ceremony Saturday at 18:00 at their stadium, open to supporters and broadcast live. Three Segunda División matches (Castellón–Eibar, Granada–Tenerife, Andorra–Mallorca) and one Liga F match (Costa Adeje Tenerife–Alavés) have been postponed.
