Barcelona to attend official tribute to Jesús de Miguel

Barcelona will send representatives to a memorial service for Tenerife forward Jesús de Miguel on November 7, 2026, following his unexpected death.

FC Barcelona will be represented by Juan Manuel Asensi and Antonio Olmo at a posthumous tribute to forward Jesús de Miguel on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 18:00 at Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez López. The Tenerife club is organising an institutional and community farewell following the player's tragic and unexpected death.

LaLiga will actively participate in the memorial, with Spanish football uniting to honour de Miguel. The next matchday will be dedicated to his memory, with a minute's silence held in the ninth minute of each fixture. Players from both teams will take to the pitch together wearing shirts bearing the message "always in our memory", and there will be a floral tribute.
