Manchester United youngster 'set for full Premier League debut' after Michael Carrick verdict

Shea Lacey set for full Premier League debut against Aston Villa after impressing in Champions League win over Roma.

Shea Lacey is expected to make his full Premier League debut for Manchester United in Sunday's match against Aston Villa. The 19-year-old winger impressed in a cameo appearance during United's 3-2 Champions League comeback win over Roma on Tuesday, replacing Amad Diallo in the second half and providing the assist for Matheus Cunha's winning goal. Manager Michael Carrick praised Lacey after the game, saying "We love him to bits" and highlighting his ability and desire to succeed. Lacey has made five Premier League appearances for United, all from the bench, but did start in the Carabao Cup against Brighton in September, scoring after eight minutes. He is now set to replace Amad on the right wing as United look to build on their victory and ease pressure on Carrick.
