Man United 'sources' reveal Michael Carrick will make huge selection call on Sunday

Shea Lacey is in line to start against Aston Villa on Sunday after impressing with an assist in the Roma comeback win.

Manchester United teenager Shea Lacey impressed in Tuesday's 3-2 comeback victory over Roma, coming off the bench at the 75th minute and providing an assist for Matheus Cunha's winner. The 19-year-old, who made his first-team debut under Ruben Amorim in December, has now caught the attention of talkSPORT presenter Goldstein, who claims sources indicate Lacey will start against Aston Villa on Sunday.

Lacey's performance came at a crucial time for manager Michael Carrick, whose job appeared under threat following a run of one win in ten matches. The England Under-20 international has made limited Premier League appearances this season but has impressed when called upon, scoring his first senior goal against Brighton in the Carabao Cup and now providing his first senior assist. Following Cunha's red card against Roma, Lacey also filled in at full-back to see out the match.
