Spalletti furious with Cabal in closing stages of AZ Alkmaar–Juventus

Spalletti was visibly angry with defender Cabal late in Juventus's 2-1 Europa League win at AZ Alkmaar, gesturing forcefully after a disallowed Dutch goal.

In the closing stages of Juventus's 2-1 Europa League victory at AZ Alkmaar, manager Luciano Spalletti was caught on camera in an animated exchange with Colombian defender Juan Cabal following the annulment of a Dutch equaliser. Footage showed Spalletti making a fist gesture toward Cabal, though his exact words were unclear from lip-reading. Spalletti did not address the incident directly in his post-match press conference but offered a broader comment on decision-making: "Decisions not taken are worse than wrong decisions: if you decide, you decide wrongly and do something wrong, it costs you less than a decision not taken, which is the worst of all."
