Sánchez Flores: "We matched in intensity a team that plays with a lot of intensity"

Alavés held Sevilla to a goalless draw; Sánchez Flores praised his team's defensive intensity and intensity matching.

Alavés manager Quique Sánchez Flores was satisfied with his team's 0-0 draw at Sevilla, highlighting their defensive performance against a high-intensity opponent. "We matched in intensity a team that plays with a lot of intensity," Sánchez Flores said. "We had the match we imagined against a team that plays fast, with few touches and many second plays. We prevented them from arriving through the flow they like. Defensively we were aggressive."

Sánchez Flores was also pleased to secure a point at the Sánchez Pizjuán, noting the difficulty of accumulating wins in La Liga. He disputed a penalty awarded against his team for an incident between Ángel Pérez and Félix, saying the referee "made a mistake," but acknowledged that officials get some calls right and others wrong. With Alavés winless for two months, the manager emphasized the value of each point earned in the competitive league.
