EFL star spotted celebrating with Harry Kane in lavish Ballon d'Or afterparty

Kane celebrated his Ballon d'Or win at a London afterparty with former Tottenham teammates Doherty, Dier, Davies and Maddison, plus family and ex-manager Sherwood.

Harry Kane became the first Englishman to win the Ballon d'Or since Michael Owen in 2001, and celebrated in style at a lavish afterparty in London following the award ceremony at the Palladium on Monday night.

The Bayern Munich striker was joined by his parents, brother and wife Kate, along with several familiar faces from his Tottenham days. Matt Doherty (now Sheffield United), Eric Dier, Ben Davies and James Maddison were among those on the dancefloor as champagne bottles with sparklers were raised in celebration. Ex-former, former Spurs manager Tim Sherwood also attended to mark the occasion with his former player. Dier, who also played alongside Kane at Bayern, and Maddison, Kane's England teammate, were pictured with the trophy.

In his acceptance speech, Kane thanked Bayern Munich, Tottenham and England, and gave a special mention to Bayern boss Vincent Kompany, who is currently in hospital after collapsing during training on Friday. After the celebrations, Kane returned to Germany early the following morning for Bayern training, with a potential DFB Pokal second-round match against Magdeburg scheduled for Wednesday.
