Flick reactivates Barcelona with Koundé still sidelined

Koundé remains sidelined with an ankle sprain ahead of Saturday's match against Alavés, while Cubarsí returns to full training.

Barcelona returned to training after two days' rest following defeats to Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid. Jules Koundé continued his recovery from an ankle sprain in individual work, missing the last two matches in Paris and against Real Madrid. His availability for Saturday's home game against Deportivo Alavés will depend on his progress over the coming days.

Pau Cubarsí trained normally with the group after skipping the Ballon d'Or gala in London on Monday to recover from a fever. Three academy players—midfielder Ebrima Tunkara, centre-back Àlex Campos, and Egyptian forward Hamza Abdelkarim—trained with the first team under Hansi Flick's direction.

Barcelona now prepares for Alavés on Saturday, aiming to bounce back from recent setbacks. After that fixture, they face Aston Villa and Atlético Madrid before the second international break of the season.
