Ex-Villa scout names the 'only thing' that would make Unai Emery join Man United

Former Villa scout Bryan King says Emery would only leave for Manchester United if offered significantly more money, citing the instability at Old Trafford since Ferguson's departure.

Former Aston Villa scout Bryan King has suggested that manager Unai Emery would have little reason to leave Villa for Manchester United unless offered a substantial pay rise. King told Football Insider that Emery has built something successful at Villa and would face a lengthy rebuild at Old Trafford, where managerial instability has persisted since Sir Alex Ferguson's departure. King pointed to the club's lack of Premier League success despite winning cups under various managers, attributing the problems to decision-makers outside the football department. Emery has been linked with the United job amid uncertainty around current manager Michael Carrick's future. However, Emery recently attended the Ballon d'Or awards wearing an Aston Villa-embroidered suit alongside Villa's director of football and president of football operations, appearing to signal his contentment at his current club.
