Kane-Skechers, a partnership that ended the curse

Kane won the 2026 Ballon d'Or after signing with Skechers in 2023, ending his trophy drought with four titles and 73 goals for Bayern Munich.

Harry Kane has ended his long wait for major honours after partnering with Skechers in 2023, a bold move away from Nike that has coincided with unprecedented success. Since joining the American sportswear brand, Kane has won four official titles with Bayern Munich: two Bundesliga titles (2024/25, 2025/26), the German Super Cup (2025), and the German Cup (2025/26). He has also claimed multiple individual awards including the Bundesliga Player of the Season (2024/25), the Gerd Müller Trophy for Europe's top scorer (2023/24, 2025/26), and the 2026 Ballon d'Or with 73 goals.

Skechers has made Kane its flagship football ambassador, even releasing limited-edition boots to commemorate his historic season. The partnership marks a significant shift in football sponsorships, with other major brands now entering the sport. On signed Mbappé in 2026 with Thierry Henry overseeing the project, while New Balance has secured players including Bukayo Saka, Endrick, and Diomande.
