Benjamin Sesko out until new year as Michael Carrick confirms fresh Man Utd injury blow

Sesko sidelined until January with shin injury; missed pre-season with same problem and has not played since September.

Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko will be out until at least January due to a shin injury, manager Michael Carrick confirmed. The 23-year-old has not featured since the Carabao Cup exit to Brighton on 16 September and missed the entire pre-season with a similar issue. Sesko has avoided surgery but the club's medical team determined extended rest is needed for full recovery. Carrick said the club is still working through the healing process and determining the best course of action. Sesko has scored twice this season, including goals in the 2-2 draw at Everton and the 4-0 Champions League win over Sabah. His absence adds to United's injury concerns, with Kobbie Mainoo, Patrick Dorgu and Luke Shaw also sidelined, though Mainoo has returned to partial team training.
