'Doomsday' – Jamie O'Hara stunned as Chelsea fan makes Xabi Alonso sack ultimatum

Chelsea fan demands Xabi Alonso's sacking if the Blues lose to Manchester United on Saturday, citing defensive vulnerabilities exposed by Tottenham's win at Stamford Bridge.

A Chelsea supporter called into talkSPORT's The Sports Bar and issued an ultimatum: if Chelsea lose to Manchester United on Saturday, manager Xabi Alonso must go. The fan, Rob, criticised the team's defensive setup against Tottenham, pointing out that the Blues conceded as many goals as Coventry despite being third in the division for scoring. He singled out defenders Malo Gusto and Valentin Barco as "Sunday League players at best" and highlighted how Liverpool looked dangerous every time they attacked while Chelsea struggled to create clear chances. Jermaine Pennant suggested some Chelsea fans harbour resentment toward Alonso for his playing career at Liverpool, though Rob acknowledged the Spaniard was a fantastic player. The defeat to Tottenham at Stamford Bridge has clearly shaken confidence among the fanbase, with the loss marking only Chelsea's second Premier League defeat at home in their history. Chelsea sit fifth with four wins from eight games but face Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday at 12:30pm, with Michael Carrick's under-pressure side visiting from 16th place.
