Bruno Fernandes returns for Chelsea after criticizing Carrick
Summarised by MatchPal
Fernandes returns to the squad after being dropped for criticizing Carrick's tactics; retains captaincy for Chelsea trip.
Bruno Fernandes has been recalled to Manchester United's squad for Saturday's Premier League match at Chelsea, a week after being excluded following his public criticism of manager Michael Carrick's tactical approach.
The Portuguese midfielder was left on the bench for United's 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth on Sunday, despite being sent to warm up and despite Carrick making four substitutions in the second half. Fernandes had made critical comments about Carrick's tactics after the 4-1 Champions League loss to Como.
Carrick confirmed on Thursday that Fernandes will start at Stamford Bridge and will retain the captaincy, signalling a resolution to the dispute.
