Spalletti and the constant Conte comparison: Juve fans want him back, but finances advise against it. And then there's Allegri...

Juventus face Napoli tonight with speculation over Conte's potential return lingering, but financial fair play constraints make a move unlikely despite fan desire.

As Juventus host Napoli, the shadow of Antonio Conte looms over the Allianz Stadium. The Salento-born coach, who won three consecutive Serie A titles with Juve before his departure in July 2014, remains a figure of fascination for sections of the Juventus fanbase who continue to fantasize about his return.

While some supporters view Conte's exit as an unhealed wound that reopens with each defeat, the reality is constrained by financial realities. Juventus operates under a UEFA settlement agreement that limits spending flexibility. Bringing in Conte would require paying both him and current manager Spalletti, and Conte's appointment would come with significant financial implications that could breach the club's agreed financial parameters.

Meanwhile, Allegri—who succeeded Conte and won five consecutive Serie A titles plus two Champions League finals—remains part of the narrative. The comparison between the two managers has become a recurring theme in Italian football discourse, though Juventus's financial obligations make such a managerial change impractical in the near term.
