Mac Allister on his future: "Everything can happen before I am a free agent"

Mac Allister says his future is uncertain with 18 months left on his contract after the club declined to renew last season, but new management and investors have changed the situation.

Alexis Mac Allister has addressed speculation about his future at Liverpool, revealing that the club previously indicated they did not plan to renew his contract. With 18 months remaining on his current deal, the Argentine midfielder says the landscape has shifted following managerial and sporting director changes, plus new investment at the club. "Everything can happen before I am a free agent," Mac Allister told reporters. "I still have time left at this club, which is what I want most, to continue here. The reality is that the manager has changed, the sporting director has changed, and new investors are coming into the club. So I think today I am in a position where anything can happen." Mac Allister expressed happiness at Liverpool but left the door open to developments in the coming months.
