Diogo Dalot insists Man United's dramatic comeback against Roma can 'change season'

Dalot believes the 3-2 Champions League comeback from two goals down against Roma can shift United's momentum after a nine-match winless run.

Manchester United staged a dramatic Champions League comeback at Old Trafford on Tuesday, overturning a two-goal deficit to beat Roma 3-2. Bruno Fernandes' retaken penalty sparked the recovery, with Matheus Cunha scoring twice late on and Roma receiving a red card to complete the turnaround under interim manager Michael Carrick.

Defender Diogo Dalot said the win could prove pivotal for a side struggling badly in the Premier League. United are 17th in the table, just above the relegation zone, and have not won in nine matches. "Nights like this can change momentum, can change seasons," Dalot said. "I think this win is going to give us confidence for the next games."

United face Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday in their next Premier League fixture. Dalot stressed the importance of maintaining the intensity shown in the second half against Roma and avoiding giving opponents an early advantage as they did against the Italian side.
