Man United's JJ Gabriel compensation revealed after he agrees to join Real Madrid

The 16-year-old has agreed personal terms with Real Madrid and is expected to sign a long-term deal after heading to Spain; United will receive six-figure compensation.

JJ Gabriel has agreed to join Real Madrid from Manchester United after the teenager rejected a new contract at Old Trafford and walked out in September. Sources say Gabriel has verbally accepted Real's offer and will put pen to paper on a long-term deal soon after training in Spain. The move is subject to FIFA regulations on transfers of minors.

Gabriel, who won the Premier League's Under-18 player of the season award at just 14 and scored a hat-trick on his UEFA Youth League debut, secured an EU passport to ease his move abroad. Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich had all pursued him, but Real have now won the race for his signature.

United will receive compensation for Gabriel's departure, expected to be a six-figure sum, though the figure will be lower because he is signing for a club outside the Premier League. The deal is moving closer to completion.
