The club's struggles run deep. Napoli sit eighth in Serie A and have won just once in the Champions League, enduring their worst start to a season in nearly 30 years with seven defeats in 14 matches. Off the pitch, the situation is equally troubled: the dressing room is reportedly divided into separate cliques. Matteo Politano, Leonardo Spinazzola and Giovanni Di Lorenzo form one group, while David Neres and Noa Lang stick together. Kevin De Bruyne, Scott McTominay, Stanislav Lobotka and Rasmus Højlund are said to keep to themselves, as does André-Frank Zambo Anguissa, whose isolation stems partly from the departures of close friends Victor Osimhen and Juan Jesus.
