Allegri not angry: it's a tough moment, we've been out for six days but Napoli played well for 70 minutes

Napoli lost 3-1 to Porto in Champions League; Allegri blamed set-piece errors but praised the team's 70-minute performance despite injury crisis.

Napoli suffered a 3-1 defeat at Porto in the Champions League League Phase, their seventh loss in fourteen games this season. The team conceded twice from set pieces and a third goal from a loose ball in the second half, dropping to 27th place with just 3 points from four matches.

Manager Massimiliano Allegri acknowledged the errors but defended his players' effort. "For 70 minutes the squad played a good match with great physical commitment," he said. "We conceded from two set pieces where Porto were very clever, and then a goal from a loose ball when we were tired. These are details that make the difference." He noted the injury crisis and the demanding schedule made it difficult to make substitutions earlier.

Allegri looked ahead to Sunday's crucial Serie A clash with Lazio before the international break, when he expects to have injured players available again. "There's only to keep working," he said. "In football there are these moments and they must be faced with great desire for revenge."
