Every word Michael Carrick said during press conference before Manchester United vs Aston Villa

Carrick previewed Sunday's Villa visit and confirmed Carlos Baleba will miss several weeks with a hamstring injury sustained against Roma.

Michael Carrick held a press conference on Friday to preview Manchester United's Premier League clash against Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday. The session came after United's dramatic 3-2 Champions League comeback win over Roma midweek, in which Bruno Fernandes and Matheus Cunha scored to overturn a two-goal deficit. Carrick discussed the need to build on that result and shared team news ahead of Villa's visit. Carlos Baleba suffered a hamstring injury during the Roma match and is set to miss several weeks on the sidelines. The midfielder was forced off just after half-time while making a driving run into the penalty area. Baleba had only recently returned from an ankle injury picked up in pre-season following his £70 million move from Brighton. Mainoo and Rashford were also absent from the latest England squad due to recent injuries.
