Transfer guru: Jason Wilcox and Man United recruitment team should be sacked immediately - 'They're a disgrace'

Scout Bryan King criticises Man United's recruitment and squad quality after a 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth, calling for Jason Wilcox and the recruitment team to be sacked.

Manchester United's poor form has intensified scrutiny on the club's recruitment strategy. After losing 3-0 at home to Bournemouth on Sunday, the Red Devils have won just two of 12 games across all competitions this season.

Experienced scout Bryan King told Football Insider that manager Michael Carrick has been left with an inadequate squad despite a costly summer transfer window. King was scathing about the players' commitment, saying: "You've got a team, quite an expensive team, of non-triers. I've never seen such an inept bunch of footballers in my life. They're a disgrace." He called for Jason Wilcox, the director of football, and the recruitment team to be sacked, arguing that the problems extend beyond Carrick's management.

Defender Lisandro Martinez has also publicly criticised the recruitment department, stating in October: "I expect more from our technical director. As players we have to do more, but it is also important when you make a strong squad to be ready for this kind of night." Carrick will be given a chance to turn results around, with his next three games before the international break seen as crucial to his future.
