Xabi Alonso reveals half-time message that inspired Chelsea to beat Manchester United

Chelsea beat Manchester United 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, with goals from Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer after Alonso's half-time tactical adjustment.

Chelsea secured a 2-0 victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, bouncing back from defeats to Tottenham and Liverpool earlier in the week.

Morgan Rogers opened the scoring five minutes after the break with an individual goal, before Cole Palmer added a second from the penalty spot after Lisandro Martinez fouled Wesley Fofana. Martinez was sent off for two yellow cards in quick succession, leaving United with 10 men for over 25 minutes.

Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso revealed his half-time message focused on controlling the ball and improving tactically. "We have spoken at half-time that we're going to win this game with the ball," Alonso said. "The improvement has been with the ball, the message has been to be better with the ball, not to give away that much." The Blues dominated the second half, with Estevao seeing two goals ruled out for offside. The win moves Chelsea up to fourth in the Premier League table.
